have been with my boyfriend for 1/2 yr now. But he never said he loves me. One day I can’t stand this anymore, then I asked him why he doesn’t say “I love you” to me ever? His answer is he doesn’t feel he loves me. He tried and thought he can develop love for me, but it doesn’t seem working. Later, he even told me he doesn’t know what he wants from me and from our relationship. Altho I am, a greatest person, he can’t love me, and I can’t force ,him to love me. But the more I am with him, the more I fall in love with him. Just he doesn’t feel the same way-still stays in the same stage as the beginning-likes me. How can I make him love me? I need “love” from my boyfriend. If there’s no “love” in a relationship, it’s a dead relationship. It’s not solid and real. It won’t work. Finally when I asked how he ’s going to solve the problem that he can’t love me, he said”let’s break up”. Oh my god, what an irresponsible answer. I hate that. Listen to Bonnie Rait’s song “I can’t make you love me”. You will be able to relate. It’s sad, but there’s nothing you can do to make him love you. To give someone your love and your body (sex), without returned affection is very sad and is a form of being used. You are degrading yourself by staying with someone who doesn’t love you in return and doesn’t have the balls to break it off with you either. Trust me, I’ve built my own self esteem from trash to treasure. Please spare your self esteem, break up, pick up the pieces and find someone who can love you back. Counseling will do wonders for you and your self esteem. There is life after heart break, it just takes time.

 

DO NOT make yourself readily available. Let him wonder what you are doing. Sometimes a person needs to realize what they have lost before they realize how much they love another person. Be nice and enjoy your moments together, but be confident enough to let him know that you can live witout him. People tend to want what they can’t have.

time to move on solo sweetie. you cannot expect someone to love you, you can only hope. i think that you should move on, and though it’ll be tough at first, you’ll learn from it and open yourself to other opportunities. you deserve better

First of all, appriciate his honesty, at least he’s not leading you on. I have been there! Second of all, it’s not worth it, because somewhere out there there is a man who will love you in spite of every little thing you do and apparently it’s not this guy! I hope that you find him! Because you have a lot of love to give, and you should be receiving it too! Good luyou have to make your boyfriend love you there’s something wrong. That should have been the tip off if you hadn’t noticed already. No way should you ever have to make someone love you. If they don’t love you because they care about you and feel that love for you, then you’re just going to have to deal with the fact that they don’t and probably never will. !I think you need to move on. If he has indicated to you that he does not love you yet he has another agenda. Sounds like you may be a convience likened to a friend with fringe benefits. Even if he says one day “I love you” be sure you knowwhat is behind the statement
